Monday’s meeting announcements: SEC to hear appeal

A slew of federal advisory panels will announce their new meetings in Monday’s edition of the Federal Register.

Here’s what’s on the way:

Next Monday, the Securities and Exchange Commission is holding an open meeting to hear an appeal to an administrative law judge’s decision. 

The Corporation for National and Community Service is meeting on Tuesday at its Washington headquarters. 

On Wednesday, the Broadcasting Board of Governors will meet in Washington to vote on an interim management structure for the International Broadcasting Bureau and receive a presentation on the Voice of America. 

Also that day, the Consumer Product Safety Commission will hold a meeting in Bethesda, Md., to consider a rule on bedside sleepers. 

Joint panels for fishing management in South Florida will meet in Key Largo, Fla., on Jan. 7, 8 and 9. 

The federal advisory board for the Black Hills National Forest is meeting in Rapid City, S.D., on Jan. 8. 

An advisory panel for the Bureau of Land Management is meeting in Pendleton, Ore., on Jan. 9 and 10. 

Starting Jan. 10, the U.S. Civil Rights Commission’s advisory committee for New York is holding three planning meetings to discuss treatment of youth in the state’s correctional system. 

The board for making architecture and transportation accessible to people with disabilities will meet from Jan. 13 to 15 in Washington.
