House Republican leaders are slated to speak with reporters Tuesday morning during a weekly press conference.
The press conference comes as Republicans are bitterly divided on a short-term stopgap bill that would fund the government through Oct. 31. The measure includes an 8 percent cut to everything but the Defense and Veterans Affairs departments, along with the bulk of the House GOP’s border crackdown bill, as The Hill previously reported.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) and House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) are set to speak.
Tuesday’s event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. ET.
