Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to announce Monday that he will run as an independent presidential candidate and not a Democrat.
Kennedy is slated to speak Monday in front of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
While he had not won that much traction in the Democratic primary, Kennedy could play a big role as a third-party candidate.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed him with 14 percent support, a significant amount for a third-party candidate.
The speech is scheduled for 12 p.m. EDT.
