Senate Democrats — including Patty Murray (Wash.), Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), Debbie Stabenow (Mich.) — are holding a press event Wednesday morning to observe the upcoming anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Speakers will address actions taken by abortion opponents following the Supreme Court’s 2022 reversal of the landmark case — which halted a 50-year precedent of federal abortion protections — as well as the goal of reestablishing abortion rights at the federal level through the Women’s Health Protection Act.

Guest speakers will include Austin Dennard, a plaintiff in Zurawski v. Texas, a case brought against the Lone Star State by 20 individuals denied abortion care and two OB-GYN specialists.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST.
