Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is slated to testify before the House Financial Services Committee on Tuesday morning in a hearing titled “The Annual Report of the Financial Stability Oversight Council.”
Yellen is expected to discuss the state of the economy and labor market under the Biden administration, as well as the activities of the Financial Stability Oversight Council over the past year, according to a statement.
Her remarks come nearly a year after the U.S. financial system was left reeling in the wake of the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST.
