Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will deliver an address Thursday to a joint session of Congress.
His remarks come just a day after President Biden and first lady Jill Biden welcomed Kishida and his wife, Yuko Kishida, to the White House for a state dinner. The administration called the visit a “crowning partnership.”
Following his speech to lawmakers, Kishida and Biden will meet with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for a summit focused on threats from China.
Kishida’s address to Congress is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
