White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre delivered a briefing for reporters Monday afternoon.

President Biden, now focused on policy objectives over political strategy for his remaining months in office, has in recent weeks highlighted several priorities as he works to establish his legacy. 

Last Thursday, Biden released a statement together with the leaders of Egypt and Qatar pressing for a Gaza cease-fire and hostage release between Israel and Hamas. Securing a lasting peace for Gaza could also de-escalate tensions that have arisen within the Democratic Party.

Biden has also laid out an ambitious plan for Supreme Court reforms, including term limits and adoption of a formal code of conduct, offering a high-level endorsement for structural changes to the high court.
