Watch: House hearing on DOJ ‘weaponization’
The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight held a hearing Tuesday afternoon examining the Department of Justice (DOJ) under former President Biden and the previous administration’s “weaponization” of the agency.
The panel was also expected to “explore how the Trump-Vance Administration is working to restore the rule of law.”
It came after President Trump signed an executive order last month aimed at correcting what he called “past misconduct” of the department. It also follows a purge at the DOJ of agents and prosecutors who worked on the president’s criminal cases — staff he said he could no longer “trust.”
The hearing was scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EST.
