Watch live: Congressional Hispanic Caucus speaks on Trump’s first month in office

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) is set to hold a press conference Wednesday morning that will focus on President Trump’s first month back in the White House.

Their remarks, led by CHC chair Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.), come as Trump has acted quickly on his campaign promises to execute “mass” deportations and cut down on illegal immigration. Efforts include his push to end birthright citizenship, his authorization for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to conduct raids at schools and religious organizations, amd his proposal to send certain migrants to Guantánamo Bay in Cuba.

In response, lawmakers in the CHC have been vocal critics of his agenda, including the recent GOP-led budget resolution adopted by the House late Tuesday.

The press conference is expected to begin at 11 a.m. EST.
