First lady Melania Trump spoke Monday on Capitol Hill in her first major solo event of President Trump’s second term.
The first lady’s office said she was going to take part in a roundtable discussion on online protection and the Take It Down Act, which makes it unlawful for a person to knowingly publish or threaten to publish realistic, computer-generated pornographic images and videos that depict identifiable, real people on social media and elsewhere online.
The measure has passed the Senate but not the House.
The event was scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EST.
