President Trump on Monday afternoon announced that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) plans to spend $100 billion in U.S. chip manufacturing plants on Monday.
The multibillion-dollar investment, first reported by The Wall Street Journal and confirmed by the White House, is expected to stretch out over the next four years.
