Watch: US trade representative testifies before House on Trump trade agenda
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer testified before the House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday morning on President Trump’s trade agenda, as the latest reciprocal tariffs took effect overnight.
The hearing came a day after Greer faced heat from senators on both sides of the aisle on the impact of Trump’s sweeping import taxes on U.S. consumers and the global market. Democrats pressed the trade representative on the perceived trade war as Republicans voiced concerns from their constituents.
The event was scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
