A panel of former employees from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will testify before top House Democrats and the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee Thursday morning as President Trump’s executive actions have been under scrutiny.
The hearing is set to focus on the Trump administration’s decision to conduct mass layoffs at the VA and Republicans’ push to cut some benefits for veterans. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) and other top Democratic leaders are expected to attend.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EDT.
