Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Tuesday unveiled a plan to remove eight petroleum-based synthetic dyes from the country’s food supply — the latest move in his pursuit to “make America healthy again.”
The move came months after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) banned the use of controversial red dye from food and ingested drugs that have been linked to cancer.
Kennedy was joined by FDA Commissioner Martin Makary.
The press conference was scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. EDT.
