Watch: Jeffries gives remarks on Trump’s first 100 days

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) is seen as Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) makes a statement regarding the House Republican continuing resolution to fund the government outside the House Chamber on March 10, 2025.

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) gave remarks Wednesday morning, a day after President Trump marked his first 100 days back in the Oval Office.

Democrats have railed against Trump’s executive actions since he was sworn in earlier this year —. from mass layoffs within the federal civilian workforce to funding cuts to social and international development programs to his trade war and immigration agenda.

The New York lawmaker has also recently argued that adopting the president’s legislative agenda is a “matter of life and death.”

Jeffries was also expected to join his Senate counterpart, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), in a presser from the Capitol steps later this afternoon.

His remarks were scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
