House Republican leaders will brief reporters Tuesday morning amid a push to pass President Trump’s legislative agenda before Memorial Day.
Key policy hang-ups — primarily around tax cuts and Medicaid funding — have threatened to upend Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) roadmap to advancing the package. The Tuesday remarks also come days after the White House unveiled Trump’s budget request for the next fiscal year — and as economic uncertainties mount following the president’s tariff moves.
