Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy testified Wednesday before a House Appropriations subcommittee on his department’s fiscal 2026 budget request.
Duffy in recent weeks has vowed to reform the Federal Aviation Administration, including an overhaul of the air traffic control system following significant outages affecting flights at Newark Liberty International Airport. Earlier this month, he unveiled a new recruitment program to address controller shortages and called for massive investment into new technology.
