Watch: RFK Jr. testifies before Senate panel on HHS budget

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. answers a question from Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) during a Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee hearing to discuss the F.Y. 2026 budget for the department on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. testified Tuesday morning before the Senate Appropriations Committee on the department’s fiscal 2026 budget request.

Much of the request was focused on Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” agenda — from his vow to find the cause of autism to the administration’s efforts to ban artificial food dyes. It also includes significant reductions to social and research programs.

The hearing was scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
