House Democratic Caucus leaders will brief reporters Tuesday afternoon as they criticize President Trump over his immigration crackdown and their Republican colleagues’ efforts to advance the president’s legislative agenda, which includes steep cuts to Medicaid and taxes.

The press conference, led by Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.), also comes after a New Jersey Democrat was handed an assault charge following an incident near an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Newark. Democrats have defended Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-N.J.) after the administration accused her of shoving ICE agents during a protest.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m. EDT.
