Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Thursday morning will honor U.S. Army Ranger veterans who served in World War II with a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony.
Sens. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), both veterans, co-sponsored a bill to honor the veterans in 2021, and it was signed into law by former President Biden in 2022.
The event is expected to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.
