President Trump signed an executive order Thursday afternoon reestablishing the Presidential Fitness Test and setting up a White House sports council.
Trump hosted several professional athletes for the event, including golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who will chair the new President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, the White House confirmed.
The order is expected to direct the council to develop school-based programs that reward achievements in physical education.
The fitness test was replaced with the Presidential Youth Fitness Program in 2013.
