President Trump welcomed conservative Polish President Karol Nawrocki to the White House Wednesday as military tensions remain high in Eastern Europe amid Russia’s war with Ukraine.
The visit marks the conservative Polish leader’s first overseas trip since taking office in August. Nawrocki is looking to strengthen ties with Trump, who endorsed him. The Polish leader is also expected to press for a more robust U.S. military presence in his country, which borders Ukraine, The Associated Press reported.
