Former Vice President Cheney (R) said Monday that President Obama knowingly lied when he said if people like their healthcare plan they’d be able to keep it under the Affordable Care Act.
{mosads}“It was a lie, it was deliberate,” Cheney said on “Fox and Friends.” “They knew if they told the truth, the bill would’ve never passed.”
The administration has since offered a workaround, allowing states to continue offering plans that don’t meet ObamaCare’s requirements for an additional year.
The administration proposed the executive action to quell the bipartisan outcry that the healthcare law doesn’t comply with the president’s promise that you can keep your plan if you like it.
Cheney, who recently had a heart transplant, said continuity of coverage was one of the most important aspects of his recovery.
