Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) says he is considering challenging House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) leadership role.
Some newer members of the House Democratic caucus are pushing for change at the top. The caucus’s leadership election was postponed two weeks as potential challengers look to build support.
{mosads}”Something is really, really wrong with the Democratic Party and our Democratic infrastructure, and we’ve got to figure out what that is and make some changes,” Ryan told The Hill.
Pelosi informed her colleagues on Wednesday that she has the support of two-thirds of the caucus. But that isn’t deterring Ryan and other like-minded Democrats who are seeking a change.
Ryan said he’ll make a decision about running in the “next few days.”
