Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) says House Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) legacy has yet to be realized … and not in a good way.
Ryan announced this week he would not be running for reelection, ending his time as Speaker.
Asked by The Hill’s Jamal Simmons what Ryan’s legacy will be, Pelosi said she isn’t sure yet.
“It’s not complete, whatever it may turn out to be,” she told The Hill. {mosads}
Pelosi went on to say that part of his legacy will be the tax bill passed by Republicans last year. She also warned that Ryan is still aiming to undo Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security as part of his legacy, but she hopes that doesn’t happen.
