Watch live: Mnuchin grilled over Trump tax returns
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is set to testify before the House Financial Services Committee Wednesday morning.
Mnuchin is expected to face questions from Democrats about his refusal to hand over the president’s tax returns, one of many requests from Democrats in the House that the Trump administration is stonewalling.
Mnuchin and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the committee, engaged in a fiery exchange in April about the length of his testimony before the committee and whether he would return.
The hearing is schedule to begin at 8:30 a.m.
