House Democrats are set to vote on a resolution outlining impeachment procedures Thursday, the first vote by the full House on the impeachment process since Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) backed an inquiry in September.

{mosads}The White House and congressional Republicans have called for a floor vote to launch the impeachment inquiry itself, but Democrats have resisted the move.

Instead, Democrats will vote Thursday to establish procedures for public hearings, authorize the release of witness deposition transcripts and outline the process for transferring evidence to the House Judiciary Committee, which would be tasked with drafting and approving articles of impeachment.
