Romney’s wife: O-Care is frustrating
Ann Romney, the wife of former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, said on Wednesday that it’s “too bad the election isn’t today,” amid persistent low polling for Obama and Democrats.
President Obama saw multiple polls this week that showed him at the lowest point of his presidency in terms of his job approval.
One Washington Post/ABC News poll out last month revealed if the 2012 presidential election were held today, Romney would eke out a win over Obama, with 49-45 percent support.
{mosads}”Well, it’s too bad the election isn’t today,” Romney said of that poll, in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. “It’s frustrating a bit to watch what’s happening with the ObamaCare rollout but we are where we are.”
She initially said, however, that she and her husband aren’t rehashing the fiercely fought presidential race.
“We don’t look back,” Romney said. “Neither one of us ever look back.”
She had some advice for members of Congress, in response to Speaker John Boehner’s (R-Ohio) comments that some Republicans “aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be” in communicating with women.
