Brokaw’s phone goes off on the air
An awkward moment arose Tuesday night when MSNBC host Tom Brokaw’s cellphone went off during the network’s live broadcast.
Brokaw, along with MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews, was analyzing Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R) victory over Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes when the sound of an alarm went off in the studio.
{mosads}”Could that be me?” Brokaw said as he reached into his pocket.
Maddow said she didn’t think Brokaw was the culprit, instead saying the sound was “something ambient.”
“I’m afraid it is me,” Brokaw said as he took out his phone and shut the alarm off.
Brokaw tried to cut jokes to downplay the mishap.
“Oh yes I’ll remember to bring home the milk and I’ll feed the dog in the morning,” he said.
