Put away veto pen, lawmaker tells Obama

President Obama should rethink his threat to veto legislation that would increase the number of hours per week considered full-time work under ObamaCare, according to one House Republican.

“I would hope that [Obama] would reconsider based on the popularity of this bill … but we’ll continue to make the argument even if the president is averse to any changes in terms of improving our nation’s healthcare laws,” Rep. Todd Young (R-Ind.) said.

Young is among dozens of co-sponsors of a House measure that would change the mandate under ObamaCare that requires some businesses to provide health insurance to full-time workers. The definition of full-time is now set at 30 hours per week, but the bill would increase that to 40 hours.

The House is set to vote on the bill this week, with the Senate to follow suit in the near future. Take a look at Young’s other comments on his bill.
