Expert: Nuke deal gives Iran more capability to do harm
Congress should disapprove President Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran because the deal would increase Iran’s capability to do harm, a Middle East expert tells The Hill.
American Foreign Policy Council Vice President Ilan Berman said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper that “as part of the terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action … you have Iran receiving $100 billion dollars or more of previously frozen oil revenue that’s going to be repatriated within in the next six months.”
{mosads}”Let’s remember that even under sanctions, Iran had a nine-digit line item in its budget to support terrorism — think about how dramatically that capability expands,” Berman added.
