Ari Fleischer: Bush faces ‘quandary’ in SC

GOP presidential hopeful Jeb Bush faces a “quandary” if he underperforms in Saturday’s South Carolina primary, Ari Fleischer says.

“Does he have the resources to keep going? If he couldn’t win anywhere else, why would he be able to win in a March 1 Super Tuesday state?” Fleischer — who served as press secretary for President George W. Bush — told The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.

GOP political expert Brett Decker added that anything short of a win in South Carolina would make it tough for Bush’s campaign to continue, given how much money he’s spent there.

“Donald Trump, per vote, is spending basically what it costs to have breakfast at IHOP, and Jeb bush is spending $1,500 to $2,500 per vote ending up fourth or fifth place — that’s not going anywhere,” Decker said.
