Hillary Clinton dishes on how she met Bill

Steve Harvey tells Hillary Clinton that she made a “player move” by first approaching Bill Clinton when the two were in law school.

During a Wednesday appearance on “The Steve Harvey Show,” the Democratic presidential candidate recalled how she first met the future commander in chief in the 1970’s when both attended Yale.

{mosads}“I didn’t know who he was,” Clinton said. “I was walking through the student lounge, and I heard this voice saying to a group of people, ‘And not only that — we grow the biggest watermelons in the world.’

And I said, ‘Who is that?’

And somebody said, ‘That’s Bill Clinton. He’s from Arkansas. That’s all he ever talks about.’”

According to Clinton, the pair ended up in the same class. “I was kind of looking at him. He was kind of looking at me.”

Then, the soon-to-be couple eyed each other once again in the school’s library.

“I go over and I said, ‘If you’re going to keep looking at me, and I’m going to keep looking back, we at least ought to know each other.’ You know I thought that was the proper thing to do, right?” Clinton, 68, said.

“That was pretty smooth,” replied Harvey. “That was actually the player move.”

“I didn’t know that at the time,” the former secretary of State, who tied the knot with Clinton in 1975, said with a smile. “I didn’t know we would hit it off, we would start dating, and there we are, all those years ago.”
