Actress Angela Bassett: Hillary would ‘make a great president’
Angela Bassett is speaking out about her support of Hillary Clinton, saying the Democrat would “make a great president — bar none.”
In a preview clip from an upcoming episode of Ora.TV’s “Larry King Now,” the “American Horror Story” star heaps praise on the White House hopeful.
“I think this is a time, a defining moment,” Bassett tells host Larry King. “I think she’d make a great president — bar none — be it woman, male, whatever.”
{mosads}“I think she has a wonderful perspective,” Bassett adds, “I like her platforms.”
The 57-year-old actress hit the campaign trail along with fellow entertainer Vivica A. Fox in South Carolina earlier this month to stump for Clinton and says she appreciates her “deep wealth of experience, from first lady of Arkansas, to first lady in the White House, to secretary of State.”
Bassett, who played the director of the Secret Service in 2013’s “Olympus Has Fallen” says in the “Larry King Now” episode airing March 2 that she may head to other states to root on her 2016 pick too.
“You very well may see me,” she said.
