GOP consultant: Primary politics ‘dirty as hell’
The claim from Paul Manafort, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s new convention manager, that rival Ted Cruz uses “Gestapo tactics” to win votes demonstrates how nasty the 2016 primary has gotten, according to a Republican political consultant.
{mosads}Brett Decker tells The Hill, “In any state it’s dirty as hell, and it’s ugly what people do to try to win. So any campaign at any time could say the other side is guilty of dirty tricks, and they probably are.”
