WATCH: GOP lawmakers don’t trust CBO score

A number of GOP lawmakers say they do not trust the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) score released late Wednesday on the House Republican-passed healthcare bill.

{mosads}“None of us do,” Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said when asked if he believed the CBO score that predicts 23 million Americans will lose insurance if the American Health Care Act becomes law.

Rep. Rick Crawford (R-Ark.) said the CBO “missed by a mile” in its analysis of ObamaCare and that as a result “it’s probably safe to say they may be off base on this one as well.”

The CBO found that 23 million people would lose insurance coverage over the next decade under the AHCA. While it said the law would reduce the budget deficit, it also found that people with pre-existing conditions could be forced to drop their coverage due to skyrocketing premiums.
