Watch live: Mike Pompeo testifies at secretary of State confirmation hearing
Mike Pompeo, the current director of the CIA, will face the Senate Foreign Relations committee Thursday.
Pompeo was tapped by President Trump to helm the State Department. Trump removed Rex Tillerson from the secretary of State post last month.
The hearing is a first step in the Senate’s consideration of Pompeo’s nomination to the position.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
