Chief Justice John Roberts was sworn in at just after 2 p.m. to preside over the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump.
After being sworn in, Roberts is swearing in members of the Senate by administering the same oath.
House impeachment managers went to the Senate on Thursday to formally introduce the two impeachment articles against President Trump by reading them aloud.
