President Trump’s lawyers are expected to conclude their arguments in his Senate impeachment trial on Tuesday afternoon.
When the president’s defense concludes, senators will be given 16 hours, likely spread out over multiple days, to question both the House impeachment managers and Trump’s attorneys. That step in the proceedings could prove critical in determining whether additional witnesses will be called.
The Senate trial resumes at 1 p.m.
