Transportation Secretary nominee Pete Buttigieg on Thursday is set to face the members of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee as they consider his nomination.
If confirmed by the senate, Buttigieg would become the nation’s first openly LGBTQ Cabinet secretary.
The confirmation hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m.
