The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Tuesday will hold a hearing on the effort to make Washington, D.C., the 51st state.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is among the witnesses scheduled to testify before the committee.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
