President Biden and former President Obama will pay their respects to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) at a memorial service in his home state of Nevada.
Biden, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) will give remarks at the funeral while Obama will give the eulogy on Saturday.
Reid was one of the most powerful Democrats to serve in Washington as he was majority leader in the Senate from 2007 to 2015.
He worked with Biden for more than 20 years while Biden served in the Senate and during his time as vice president.
Reid died after he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 82.
The memorial service is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET.
