Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton blasted GOP rival Donald Trump in a new interview, saying she is afraid of what the billionaire would do if he won the White House.

{mosads}”He does scare me, because what he’s saying that he would do is wrong for our country,” Clinton said during an interview broadcast Monday on “The Breakfast Club,” a New York-based radio show.

“It’s not only offensive to people and kind of makes you cringe; it’s dangerous. I mean, he’s setting people against each other. He’s inciting violence,” Clinton continued.

She said Trump’s efforts to “play to the worst instincts of people” are “in violation of American values and New York values.”

Clinton and Trump are favorites in polling to win in the New York primary on Tuesday.

Clinton is aiming for a win in the Empire State to blunt the momentum of her rival, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, while Trump is looking to regain his footing after losing delegates in recent contests to rival Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

But the front-runners have also sharpened their attacks on each other, with Trump testing out a new line of attack against “Crooked Hillary” and last week calling her “guilty as hell.”

“If he is the nominee, I look forward to debating him. I look forward to taking him on — I’ve been taking him on from the beginning,” Clinton said in the new interview.

“The Republicans sort of just stood there and watched this train wreck happen,” Clinton said of Trump’s rise in the GOP, calling his views on nuclear weapons, for example, “irresponsible, reckless” and “dangerous.”

Clinton noted she’s running ads against Trump, saying what he represents is “a cancer.”

“You don’t let the cancer grow bigger and bigger and bigger. … Everybody needs to be going after him.”
