Charles Koch: Voting Clinton or Trump like choosing ‘cancer or heart attack’

Republican mega-donor Charles Koch says that in a choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, there are no good options.

{mosads}“If I had to vote for cancer or heart attack, why would I vote for either?” Koch told Fortune on Monday.

Pressed to make a choice between the two presumptive presidential nominees, Koch asked, “Why do I have to? Are you going to put a gun to my head?

“I see two people that, as of this point, we’re not supporting,” the billionaire added.

Koch also accused the media of spinning his words about whether he would support Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, during an interview in April.

“I said it’s possible if she totally changed everything she stood for. And they spun that around to I might support Hillary,” Koch said.

Charles Koch and his brother, David, contribute hundreds of millions of dollars to Republicans, but as of mid-June had yet to donate to Trump’s campaign.

Koch said he’s “sure” Trump is “a fine fellow underneath.” But he said he found Trump’s principles and policies “antithetical” to his own.
