Blink-182 singer and bassist Mark Hoppus is “cancer free.”
“Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!!” Hoppus announced on Twitter and Instagram Wednesday. “Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love.”
The news comes six months after the frontman began chemotherapy for the unspecified cancer. Hoppus didn’t announce his battle with the disease publicly until June.

“I have cancer. It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this,” Hoppus said at the time.
Following his Wednesday announcement, friends and fans inundated Hoppus with congratulations and well-wishes on social media.
“Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the’ year to feel normal,” Hoppus said, “but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.”
