Protests against President Trump carried into day six with a crowd gathering outside of the White House Saturday despite heavy rain.
Former Hillary Clinton campaign adviser Adam Parkhomenko has been organizing protests on Pennsylvania Avenue since Trump returned on Monday from his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Crowds still turned up to “Occupy Lafayette Park” on Saturday night despite pouring rain and the fact that Trump is not actually at the White House this weekend.

Trump left for his New Jersey golf club on Friday.
Parkhomenko said Saturday that he had received more than 1,300 donations overnight, totaling at least $31,144, to continue the protests. Various participants are reportedly flying into Washington, D.C., from various parts of the country, according to Parkhomenko’s Twitter feed.
The protests have been featuring local bands and talent designed to “keep Trump up” at night.
An 18-person Mariachi band, opera singers and a hip hop band with dancers have all performed outside the White House gates.
Several high-profile names, including Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas), actress and activist Alyssa Milano, and Stormy Daniels’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, joined the protests earlier this week.
Parkhomenko said on Twitter he’s still looking for bagpipers, tap dancers, puppeteers and a professional auctioneer “that can verbally reenact outside the White House everything important Trump is giving away to the highest bidder” for future protests.
