Elon Musk asks Twitter for skit ideas ahead of ‘Saturday Night Live’ appearance

Billionaire Elon Musk is crowdsourcing ideas for skits to perform when he hosts “Saturday Night Live” next weekend.

“Throwing out some skit ideas for SNL. What should I do?” Musk tweeted on Saturday before pitching a few ideas to his more than 52 million followers: “Irony Man – defeats villains using the power of irony … Baby Shark & Shark Tank merge to form Baby Shark Tank … Woke James Bond.”

Musk is slated to host “SNL” on Saturday, May 8.

NBC’s decision to allow Musk, the world’s third richest person, was met with some consternation from fans of the show and cast members.

A source close to the show told Page Six this week that cast members to object to the Tesla CEO hosting the show will not be forced to perform.

“Speaking historically, if a cast member has been that unhappy, they don’t have to do it,” the source said. “[‘SNL’ boss Lorne Michaels] won’t ever make them do anything they don’t want to do.”

After it was announced Musk would host the May 8 show, the billionaire tweeted: “Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is.”

Musk’s most recent tweets came hours before SpaceX, a company he founded, announced the successful recovery of four astronauts in a return mission from the International Space Station early Sunday morning.

“SNL” has featured several controversial hosts in recent years, including rapper Kanye West and former president Trump.
